We did finish installing the hardwood floor this weekend, and most of the trim around it. I finished painting the dining room, so at this point there's one hall wall that inexplicably did not get painted to finish, then force BIL to remove paint from where it was slopped in inappropriate places (trim, windowsill), clean the carpet, and next weekend we're going to move in! The apartment is an abominable mess with some sporadic half-assed efforts made at packing (mostly just throwing things around and bunch of boxes cluttering the place up).
tragically, the guy who helped us the other weekend with the pick-up truck had a heart attack and died this week. He was only 34! It's really sad and shocking. He was a very nice guy, and we just saw him this past weekend and he seemed just fine.
